Holi is the most famous of all Hindu festivals, which are celebrated all over India in various places. For the more serious devotees, Holi is a religious occasion and everyone is dressed in special clothes for the celebration.
The most important aspect of the festival is the bathing of the feet which is done in order to purify them and make them clean the feet with water. This is known as Holi in India and is also called Nirbhaya in some parts of India.
Holi is celebrated all over the world and many holiday destinations have incorporated this into their cultural and religious celebrations. Holi is a traditional gathering for people to meet, greet and get together. Holi is also known as Niya in Sanskrit which means love and affection.

On top of these preparations, Holi is also celebrated with flower garlands and bulbs. Flowers are used to decorate the village, streets and homes.
